The U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated to journalists in Tel Aviv on Wednesday that the time has come to end the war in the Gaza sector. He noted that Israel needs to make greater efforts to allow humanitarian aid into the region, regardless of the 'progress' on this issue.
"Since October 7 of last year, Israel has achieved most of its strategic goals related to Gaza... It is time to halt these achievements for long-term strategic results," Blinken emphasized.
The minister added that Israel should seek to avoid 'further escalation' and continue to act towards achieving peace in the region. He concluded that 'progress is being made, which is good, but it is necessary to achieve even greater successes, and, most importantly, it is necessary to continue moving forward.'
